Ski Dazzle presents “A Taste Of Winter™” - Cooking Demonstrations featuring Executive Chef Rick Wineman who will demonstrate mouth-watering recipes. Chef Rick is inspired by resorts and restaurants from the world of skiing with his version of, “Inspiration Green, Lean Mountain Cuisine”. He not only has extensive experience at resorts in Colorado, but shares a love of skiing and understands how important Après Ski and dining is to winter sport enthusiasts.

Dishes prepared will include inspirations that you might find from restaurants in Jackson Hole, Wyoming with House Smoked Tenderloin of Buffalo; or a steamy delight from Whistler Resort & Sunshine Resort, BC of Cold Water Wildfish; High Country Cooking from Aspen, Colorado with Grass Fed Beef Burgers; or Mammoth Mountain Resort restaurants inspire us to prepare a hearty Braised Natural Beef Goulash. Select audience members will be invited to sample.

Executive Chef Rick Wineman has won numerous culinary awards in his career, from coast to coast, including four consecutive Four Diamond Awards and ProChef Level II Certification at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. In his current position as Executive Chef at the Los Angeles Convention Center, he manages a staff of 140 culinary personnel who have catered numerous, stellar events for celebrities from Hollywood to heads of state; from the Grammy’s to the Emmy’s and People’s Choice Awards.

In concert with the Los Angeles Convention Center management, Chef Wineman has been instrumental in helping the Los Angeles Convention Center achieve status as one of the “Greenest Convention Centers in the Nation”, by converting kitchen and food service operations and reducing the center’s carbon footprint through aggressive conservation and innovative green management practices.
